Who Am I ?

Who Am I ?

Hello, I’m Lex (or Aleksandra), an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist based in London.

I have expertise in common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, with over 10 years of experience working across NHS services, academic settings, and private practice. My career has included senior roles in supervising, managing, mentoring, and training other therapists, alongside delivering therapy directly to clients.

I chose the vocation of a psychotherapist because I enjoy working with people and helping them live the life they want and thrive. There is no bigger privilege than being trusted to witness someone’s journey. I view the therapeutic relationship as an opportunity to teach my clients the skills I have been trained in, but I also learn a lot from them about resilience, patience, and the motivation to change.

If you feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of overthinking or self-criticism, or as though your mood is affecting your relationships and daily life, the therapy I provide offers a structured and highly effective approach to change.

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence- based practice (backed by scientific research). I help you understand the patterns maintaining your difficulties and support you in developing practical, sustainable strategies so that meaningful change feels achievable, not abstract.

How can I help you?

My main role is help you establish what difficulties you are dealing with, understand where they are coming from, and help you to resolve them, reduce the distress they are causing you, and move forward to a life of calm, happiness, and fulfilment.

You determine what this looks and feels like – my role is to help you get there. I may not be able to tell you things, such as whether to change jobs, or end or start a relationship, or even what hobbies to pick up; my job is to ask the right questions, so you can figure our what you really need.
